When Renee asked Trish how she felt about Bret’s induction, she said it was about time. The former women’s champion has also hosted an event with the Canada Walk of Fame back in 2006.
She said, “I remember bringing it up to them [Walk of Fame] and saying, ‘where’s my boy, Brett?’ Like, why are we not- you know, and it’s like, almost like they don’t recognize wrestling talent.”
“So I think for finally for them to recognize what we do as professional athletes and as far as entertainers was a huge win for us, you know, as wrestlers, but as Canadians, you know, I mean, like, he’s contributed so much,” Stratus said.
Renee added that it was cool to see Hart’s induction, and he deserved the honor.
“Bret Hart was one of the most famous people. I mean, so recognizable, especially in the world of professional wrestling, what his whole family has done for wrestling out of Canada.” The former WWE commentator said.
