WWE NXT just went off the air. The show kept us on our toes for two captivating hours as the promotion ensured that we did not miss any details of the action-packed extravaganza. Tonight’s yellow brand pulled out a couple of high-stakes bouts, hooks, and surprises.

Chad Gable vs. Noam Dar (c) (NXT Heritage Cup)

Winner: Noam Dar

This thrilling bout of storytelling and athleticism started with the NXT Heritage Cup on the line. After a tight four round and a lot of back and forth, Noam Dar picked up the win in his big title defense via an epic tie.

Although in the first 4 rounds of the match, Dar was on the clear winning side. At the closing moment, Gable evened the score and took the game to the tie. However, going into the sixth round, he couldn’t get the upper hand over Dar resulting in a stalemate. The draw meant that Dar retained his title as the title could not change hands in the case of a stalemate.

Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo vs. Edris Enofe & Malik Blade

Winner: Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo

Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo joined forces and emerged victorious against the powerhouse duo of Malik Blade and Edris Enofe in a highly competitive and entertaining bout. The victors managed to hit a pop-up kick to snag the decisive win.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Josh Briggs (Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifying Match)

Winner: Josh Briggs

Next, the Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifying match took the audience to storm as Josh Briggs won over’ Carmelo Hayes with a little intervention from Lexis King. The highly physical match brought a nail-biting last few minutes to the table. Briggs secured the victory in pleasing fashion as he connected with a boot, a clothesline, and a moonsault for the win.

Backstage segment: Lyra Valkyria issued a chilling warning that she’d defend the title tonight, even after the cowardly attack from Xia Li earlier tonight.

Dominik Mysterio granted Was Lee’ a last shot at the championship belt next week

A heated verbal war between Dominik Mysterio and Was Lee played out after the latter demanded a shot at Mysterios’s North American Champion title.

It led DomDom to accept the challenge although a catch was in place. Lee had to overcome three former champions to get the shot failing at which he would never attain a shot at the title.

Blair Davenport advanced to Deadline 

Blair Davenport defeated Thea Hail after a tiff fight by pin to qualify for the Iron Survivor match at Deadline.

Eddy Thorpe vs Charlie Dempsey

Eddy Thrope made a staggering entry and walked away with the win against Charlie Dempsey. The showdown of several marquee moves, punches, and counterpunches ended on a fair note but what happened right after was outright unexpected.

Xia Li Drops An Evil Reaction After Blindsiding Lyra Valkyria, Forcing an Audible Call On WWE NXT

Gulak, Borne, and Dempsey launched an attack on Thorpe and stood tall to end the segment.

A star-studded match has been made official for the next week

Jerry Lawler is ready to pick next week’s competitors in the Iron Survivor Challenge. Cameron Grimes, Bronson Reed, and Johnny Gargano were named the other contenders who would join Wes Lee in the Fatal Fourway next week for a shot at the North American title.

Lyra Valkyrie vs Xia Li 

Winner: Lyra Valkyrie

The staggering main event features Lyra vs Xia Li in the play. After a decent showcase of skills and maneuvers from both sides, Lyra Valkyrie retained her NXT Women’s Championship. Xia eyed glory when she set up the Spinning Heel kick but Lyra managed to evade the maneuver. The champion then delivered a Phantom Driver to secure the victory.
