The Halloween Havoc event returned to NXT once again. And what a way it was to start the spookiest night of the year. A triple threat Scareway to Hell Ladder match for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship kicked off the proceedings. Io Shirai and Zoey Stark had to defend their titles against the Toxic Attraction duo of Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin, and the team of Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta.
Even though it was Io Shirai who won the triple threat match last week against Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin, the result was not in favor of Shirai this time. Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin of the Toxic Attraction came out on top.
Last month, we saw the Toxic Attraction address the NXT audience about how they wanted to dominate the entire NXT Women’s division. They even challenged Shirai and Zoey Stark, but unfortunately, they lost.

The ladder match started off with all the superstars going after each other. Shirai and Stark stood tall in the ring, following the brawl in the opening moments.
Shirai looked to end the match early as she took out a ladder from under the ring immediately. But the other tag teams made their way back and stopped Shirai and Stark on their path. Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta then took charge of the match. As they climbed the ladder, Shirai made her way back to stop them from getting the ultimate glory.

After that, there was a complete brawl between all the superstars as each one of them tried to climb the ladder. However, it was Persia Pirotta who looked the most dominant. Pirotta lifted Shirai up on her shoulder and sent her face-first on the ropes. She followed it up by hitting a powerbomb on the ladder to Gigi Dolin.
But Dolin’s partner, Jacy Jayne, stopped her. Later, Shirai dropped Jayne on a ladder and hit her with a moonsault while she lay on the ladder. However, Zoey Stark botched a move from the top rope and Indi Hartwell took advantage by hitting her with a spinebuster on the ladder.
Then it was between Shirai and Hartwell. While Shirai had almost reached the top of the ladder, Indi Hartwell stopped her. She moved the ladder and made Io Shirai fall on a ladder that was set up outside the ring earlier.

But ultimately, it was Gigi Dolin who captured the titles. Following a distraction from Jacy Jayne, she knocked Hartwell off the ladder. It was a great start to the night for Toxic Attraction.
