2023 saw several title matches unfold throughout the year at both Premium Live Events as well as regular Raw and SmackDown episodes. But, not many challengers were successful in dethroning their opponents. All, except Iyo Sky. The new Raw Women’s Champion swooped in the ring and stole the belt from the newly crowned Bianca Belair at SummerSlam.

Iyo Sky has been holding onto her championship title very dearly ever since. Several attempts have been made to take her belt away, but the relentless wrestler never yielded. In fact, according to a new social media post, she defeated two more established women’s champions before the end of 2023.

Damian Priest failed to cash his MITB contract despite having a full-fledged team beside him. But, this wasn’t the case with Iyo Sky who made full use of her golden briefcase. While this feat was great enough in itself, the sly and crafty wrestler has earned another staunch milestone this year.

Wrestle Features recently added a tweet to X that said, “Female WWE wrestlers with the most matches in 2023 (final count): 1: @Iyo_SkyWWE (85). 2: @itsBayleyWWE (77). 3: @MsCharlotteWWE (72). 4: @BeckyLynchWWE (69).” This directly puts Iyo Sky above the former women’s champions Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

While it may appear that Iyo Sky is a very sneaky wrestler who avoids confrontation, the stats say something otherwise.

But, while 2023 has been the year of Iyo Sky, things may not go so well for the Champion in 2024. In fact, the champion before her has made it her goal to annex the title from Sky next year.

Bianca Belair’s mission 2024

Bianca Belair worked really hard to make her way to the main roster and bagged the Raw Women’s Championship in little to no time. Moreover, her pro wrestling skills staved off almost every storm thrown her way. This made her the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion in history. But, she faced a small setback when she lost her championship.

However, she was quick to correct her mistake and won her belt back in a triple threat against Charlotte Flair and Asuka. Just when Belair thought that her worries were over, Iyo Sky robbed her of the championship once again. She tried to get the belt back at Crown Jewel but failed due to interference from Kairi Sane.

Speaking about this, Belair recently said, “While I’ve had a huge accomplishment by becoming the longest reigning RAW Women’s Champion, I also had one of the hardest times in 2023.” But, the former champion didn’t want to look like a sorry case crying about her mishaps.

Belair further added, “I got cashed in on by IYO SKY, so my new goal this year is to go back after IYO SKY and take that WWE Women’s Championship.” Who do you like more as the Raw Women’s Champion? Do you think Bianca Belair will take back the prestigious title from Sky?
