The last time we saw Dwayne Johnson in a major feud was against John Cena in 2011 and 2012. Both the stars went all in to make their rivalry a feud to remember. Every week they had promo battles to determine who is the best man while leading up to their match at WrestleMania 28. However, once the 16-time world champion made The Rock go quiet by revealing he had written notes on his wrist on live TV. Surprisingly, 12 years later, The Cenation Leader gave insights on how he found out ‘The Brahma Bull’ had written promo notes on his wrist.

John Cena Opens Up on Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock’s “Huge Burden” on Him

The 16-time world champion said, “I had someone pointed it out to me and it was 30 seconds before my music played. So I had something planned and just you know threw it away. That’s also what I love about WWE. Fans can see through the BS if you don’t believe in the character.”

This was a month before their WrestleMania 28 match, which was booked a year prior. Cena really caught The Rock off guard as ‘The People’s Champion’ stood clueless for a second and was visibly upset. Nevertheless, after a decade, the Peacemaker star opened up on becoming selfish during his first feud with DJ

After the match he apologized to The Rock and his mother, claiming he should’ve informed them what was he planning by himself. However, despite The Rock’s Hollywood-trained acting experience, it is hard not to think that The Rock’s reaction was not authentic as Cena came out with such big blows.

The moment when Cena revealed The Rock’s wrist notes

The Brahma Bull had come out with a huge ovation from the fans on RAW. He knocked out Cena in his promo but had no idea what was about to come next. The Cenation Leader entered and quickly touched upon DJ’s wrist notes in his Dr. of Thugonomics style.

Cena said removing his wristbands, “I don’t need words like respect or loyalty to trend worldwide, just like I don’t need my notes for my promo on my wrist.”

The Rock went on to win at WrestleMania 28. However, a year later they clashed once again at WrestleMania 29. This time Cena defeated Johnson for the WWE Champion, thus concluding their feud.
