Dwayne Johnson is one of the rarest talents that went through WWE in his career. No one imagined his meteoric rise to the top of the mountain in WWE was just the beginning of his career. Since then, not only has he become the highest-paid actor, but also a household name across the globe. This transition from pro wrestling to acting was nothing short of impossible.

Hollywood star once received advice from Dwayne Johnson for a career shift

In a clip from Chris Van Vliet’s interview with Batista, he asked Batista, “Speaking when you got this job, The Rock congratulated you. You tweeted him back: Thanks for everything, thanks for the advice. What advice did Rock give you?

Batista answered that DJ was able to switch from wrestling to filming smoothly. As per him, Johnson described it as ‘quicksand’. Since the wrestling promotion is strict with their athletes, DJ advised Batista to be strong and make his intentions known.

While not being as big as The Rock or John Cena, Batista was still a fan favorite on SmackDown. His rivalries with Edge, Rey Mysterio, and Triple H boosted his confidence as a prominent figure for the blue brand. But once he gained popularity as Drax the Destroyer in the Guardians of the Galaxy series, there was no looking back.
