Dwayne Johnson’s Ex-Wife Reminisces About XFL’s Kickoff While Being Weeks Away From UFL’s Inaugural Season

While Dwayne Johnson is surrounded by a lot of drama inside the WWE ring, his world outside is on the verge of something thing. One of his latest business ventures, the United Football League or the UFL is weeks away from its first season. For those who are unaware, Johnson’s XFL merged with the already-existing United States Football League to form the UFL.

As the first official season will kick off on March 30, 2024, his wife and business partner, Dany Garcia went down memory lane talking about the initial days of XFL.

Taking to Instagram, Garcia shared a couple of throwback photos in which she could be seen with her current spouse and ZOA co-founder Dave Rienzi, The Brahma Bull, and many other people who have been associated with the XFL since its initial days. Along with the pictures, she wrote, “On this day last year, at the XFL kickoff game! Little did we know, 365 days later we would be weeks away from commencing the launch of a newly merged spring football league!”  Along with that, she mentioned that the opening weekend which is on March 30 and 31st will feature 4 matches in two days.

For 2024, UFL has chalked down a 43-game schedule for this year. The first kick-off match will be between USFL champion Birmingham Stallions and the XFL champion Arlington Renegades. It will be held at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This match will be followed by a match featuring XFL’s St. Louis Battlehawks. However, their opponent hasn’t been declared yet.

The merger between USFL and XFL was announced on December 31, 2023. While Johnson mentioned a couple of reasons that motivated him to form this merger, his primary intention was to help people involved with the game by creating more opportunities.

While Garcia has been associated with Johnson for years, she has been able to finally step out of his shadow after the release of her documentary.

How Dany Garcia stepped out of The Rock’s shadow

In October 2023, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, ESPN released a documentary called Dany. It revolved around the business tycoon and her everyday life. It was aired on ESPN on the 3rd and 4th of October, 2023. In the documentary, fans saw a glimpse of how Garcia effectively manages all of the business ventures along with Dwayne Johnson.

Garcia’s story is something truly remarkable. From being Johnson’s manager to becoming the needle mover in the multi-billion business, she has done it all.
