Rhea Ripley Caught Bleeding as Her Nose Ring Gets Ripped by Raquel Rodriguez at Payback 2023

As we all know, Rhea Ripley is a beast when it comes to wrestling. Her charisma and strength in the ring are unparalleled to any other in the women’s locker room right now, except her recent opponent, Raquel Rodriguez. The fight between them was always supposed to be brutal and physical but no one though that it would end up with Ripley bleeding in the ring.

But in their match, just after a couple of minutes, Ripley started bleeding, but it was unclear why. Later, we got to know that it was her nose piece that got ripped out. But this led to a plethora of funny quips that got fans laughing in their seats.

Getting in the ring with a woman who is the closest to her size was a different dynamic for Ripley. Might be because of the height differences between her other opponents and Rodriguez or it could be a loose ring. But one thing’s for sure, both Ripley and Michael Cole on the commentary made the most of it.

It came out of nowhere and the blood trickling down was a thin red line that many didn’t notice in the beginning.

Ripley played it well, mocking Rodriguez with her own blood and making the fans laugh out loud as well.

Some fans remarked on the playful pun said by Michael Cole on commentary.

Many fans thought that the pun was so funny, they had to repeat it on Twitter.

One more fan repeating the best pun on the show from commentary.

Another one explaining the pun and this just goes to show how great the pun was by Cole.

These fan reactions prove that both Michael Cole’s and Ripley’s way of selling the bleeding in the match worked really well. When wrestlers usually start bleeding the online fans and commentary make a big deal out of it, selling the match even more. But this time, both Cole and Ripley took the humorous route which got even more people talking about the match.
