WWE Announces Huge Plans for the Brand New United States Championship

On the 6th July edition of WWE RAW, MVP and Bobby Lashley presented the WWE universe with a newly designed title belt. However, the U.S champion Apollo Crews wasn’t present to see his new championship.
Crews defeated Andrade on May 25th edition and conquered the United States Championship.
Post the match, Crews was emotional. The champ spoke about how his 11-year struggle finally bore fruit.

From there on, he would defend his title every week in an open challenge.
MVP had signed The almighty Bobby Lashley as his client to improve his career. As a successful agent always does, MVP was looking to add more clients to his portfolio.
MVP walked up to Apollo Crews during a backstage segment. Mr. 305 explained to the champ how he could take him to the next level. However, Crews played it down.
The U.S champ was then invited to MVP’s VIP lounge. The latter offered his services again but Crews made it clear that MVP needed him, and not vise-versa.
Crews was then attacked by Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley. This was the beginning of the feud.

On the latest edition of RAW, MVP and Bobby Lashley came to the ring with the title hidden below a cloth.
MVP talked about how disrespectful Apollo Crews has been in recent weeks.

He then unveiled the new United States Championship. He went on to claim that he would be the official champion after he beats Crews at Extreme Rules Horror Show.
The Almighty then popped in, declaring MVP the new champion and putting the title around his waist. This didnt sit well with Crews’ buddies Ricochet and Cedric Alexander.

MVP faces Apollo Crews for the “new” United States championship at the Extreme Rules Horror Show. The match, for now, is scheduled to be a singles match.
One will have to wait and see if the stipulation changes. In recent years, there have been many title designs changed.
The Divas title was changed to Women’s title, which was similar to the men’s WWE championship.

The tag team titles have been changed a couple of times as well after the brand split.
The Intercontinental championship has changed three times in 10 years, and now it’s the United States Championship.
