WWE Legend Snubs Professional Rivalry to Cheer Up Rey Mysterio as He Feels the Pressure Ahead of His Hall of Fame Induction

Every year WWE inducts and awards wrestling legends and celebrities with the honorary WWE Hall of Fame award. Similarly, this year, several legends were inducted for the same. Names such as The Great Muta, Stacy Keibler, Andy Kaufman, and Rey Mysterio entered the honored list.

However, fans had expressed their shock earlier to see the name of Mysterio on the list since he is still an active performer. The underdog is one of the greatest names on the pro wrestling circuit and is a literal legend of the squared circle.

WWE recently uploaded behind-the-scenes footage of his experience before his Hall of fame induction. The video clip shows Mysterio being nervous before his big induction, and also feeling the pressure. While, throughout the entire clip, Mysterio recalls his experience in WWE, his WrestleMania match, as well as his induction. However, fans expressed their shock when his arch-rival JBL confronted him.

Though, the dynamic and type of interaction this time were different. This time, JBL met with him with a warm gesture, and congratulate him for his induction. However, things would also take a funny turn when the former WWE champion suffered from some minor confusion.

What did JBL say to his former rival Rey Mysterio before his WWE Hall of Fame 2023 induction?

Often after retirement, rivals become good friends and share a healthy relationship in WWE. And it was evident this time when JBL greeted Rey Mysterio as he stepped out of his car after he arrived in the arena.

However, JBL suffered a minor confusion, as he believed the WWE had already inducted Mysterio into the Hall of Fame. As the 56-year-old met Mysterio, he would greet him with a warm smile, and claim, “what’s up Rey?”

He would then cheer Mysterio up and joke about his confusion regarding the masked wrestler’s induction. Throughout the footage released by WWE, Mysterio would talk about the pressure he was feeling. He said, “Consumed by the match for tomorrow, Hall of Fame, whatever’s going on at SmackDown today. Feel like I have a lot on my plate but I like working under pressure. “

The 48-year-old is scheduled to face his son at WrestleMania 39. After months of severe mental torture and insults, Mysterio finally lost his cool last week and accepted his son’s challenge. However, Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley recently caused havoc at the WrestleMania superstore. Fans are now awaiting the father to teach his son a lesson.
