The former chairman of the WWE, Vince McMahon, was always considered a tough boss to work with. Many wrestlers in the past and in recent times have talked about dealing with him in the past. McMahon’s word was the last when it came to any decisions pertaining to his brainchild. There were exceptions, however, people who were even bigger a personality to deal with for the former boss. The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar, was certainly one of those personalities. Lesnar once opened up about the change in McMahon’s approach toward him.

Prior to dominating the UFC octagon, Lesnar had made a massive name for himself in the squared circle.

He was given a rare push at such an early part of his wrestling career, which is unheard of in the WWE. Many people, including McMahon, saw a huge potential in a then-young up-and-coming wrestler and took a big punt at him. Lesnar was very successful in his initial time with the promotion but left abruptly in 2004, leaving fans as well as his former boss quite bemused.

After a stellar run in the UFC, Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012 amid a raucous response from the fans. However, his 2016 UFC fight against Mark Hunt raised a lot of eyebrows. With him still in contract with WWE, The Beast somehow convinced McMahon to let him compete in UFC. When asked about the same in a 2016 interview with the UFC YouTube channel, Lesnar was quite straightforward in his response.

Brock Lesnar discussed Vince McMahon’s changed approach

Lesnar said, “The devil’s in the details, in the language of you know, so I mean it’s not complicated when you have the right you know people who understand your contract and understand your life and so that really boils down to it.
