CM Punk

CM Punk is in the process of recovering after suffering a triceps tear he suffered on January 27 at the Royal Rumble. This hasn’t stopped him from attending different venues after his operation, with the WrestleMania 40 special press conference being one of the last times fans have been able to see him.

This Saturday, February 17, CM Punk attended the UFC 298 event that took place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, an arena where the episode of Monday Night RAW next Monday will be held on the occasion of the merger between the UFC and WWE forming TKO. CM Punk was brought into focus by the cameras seconds before the start of the UFC 298 main card. Currently, it’s unknown if Punk intends to be backstage on Monday on RAW, considering the show is taking place at the same venue.

Bianca Belair

The longest-reigning African-American Champion was present at the PPV with her husband and fellow WWE superstar Montez Ford to witness the iconic event. In fact, she was even made a part of the backstage interview, where Belair revealed her intentions on being a part of the UFC in the future.

She said, “I would love to have some skills that they have, but as far as competing, I think I’m good in the WWE ring. If they want to come over to a WWE ring like Ronda Rousey did, come meet me there, and we can see what we do. But as far as that goes, I think training is as far as I will go.” So for now, maybe we will only get to see her inside the WWE ring. But that’s tough as well, especially when you are headed to face five other superstars in the Elimination Chamber.

Montez Ford

As mentioned earlier, Ford was also a guest on the PPV with his wife, Bianca Belair. And he too was a part of the backstage interview where he shared his thoughts on being a part of the UFC roster someday in the future. On this, the 33-year-old stated, “100 percent I will say, I’ve always been a fan of it, always been training for it, Ford said, “It is something I was talking about in the last two years about actually going over and having a match, seeing CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, and Bobby Lashley doing different promotions. Something I had an interest in, but it got shut down quickly by, um, (coughs and refers to Belair).”
