Brock Lesnar’s name will always be there whenever there is a list of pro wrestling stars who successfully transitioned to UFC. The Beast not only dominated the WWE but also the UFC. Although his time in the UFC was short-lived, he still performed excellently. After quitting the WWE in 2004, Lesnar took four years to enter the UFC. In 2011, he left the UFC only to return for one match in 2016. Now, seven years later, UFC president Dana White sheds light on his possible return to the octagon.

Dana White says Brock Lesnar will not return

Despite losing his debut match against Frank Mir at UFC 81, Lesnar would not slow down. At UFC 100, he had an explosive rematch with Mir and an even more explosive speech after. This cemented his name in the UFC  history books. Even his opponents consider him a real threat, more than the fans could ever perceive.

With Lesnar out of the WWE till WrestleMania season, fans began speculating that he might appear at UFC 300 somewhere in 2024. However, White quickly squashed the rumors during an interview with Sports Illustrated.

“Brock looks good, doesn’t he? He always does. I think Brock’s done. I don’t think he ever comes back,” White said. This was an official statement by White. However, Lesnar’s side of the story is yet to be heard. While Lesnar has moved between UFC and WWE, there is nothing on his next move.

While part of the UFC, Lesnar had a record of 5-3-0 (1 NC), he was crowned the UFC World Heavyweight Champion during this run in only his third fight for the promotion. Unfortunately, Lesnar lost his last match with Alistair Overeem at UFC 141. He moved back to the WWE in 2012 before returning in 2016 at UFC 200.

Brock’s short-lived UFC career was due to his medical condition

Unknown to most fans, Lesnar struggled with diverticulitis during his UFC run. This condition worsened during his match with Overeem. According to Joe Rogan, Diverticulitis caused Lesnar to have a large section of his intestine removed. This surgery took place ahead of his match with Overeem.

Throughout the match, Overeem went for Lesnar’s abdomen, where he had surgery. This put Lesnar in a difficult spot. Lesnar lost the match, but the damage caused was too much to continue. This is why Lesnar made his way back to the WWE.
