WrestleMania is one of the biggest events in WWE’s calendar year. And WrestleMania 39 is arguably the biggest Mania of all time. However, this year the match card had a special match in it. For the second time in history, a father versus son match was happening at WrestleMania. Rey Mysterio went against Dominik Mysterio and won, despite his backup plan failing to aid him.

Rey Mysterio won against his son Dominik Mysterio, with some unique help. As The Judgement Day entered and caused havoc during the father-son match, Mysterio’s backup plan, lWo appeared to help but failed to provide backup. However, as the end of the match neared, International music star Bad Bunny came to Mysterio’s aid.

Toward the end of the match, Dominik Mysterio would enter Eddie Guerrero style, and unbuckle the turnbuckle. However, it worked as a distraction and he would receive a metal chain from Damian Priest. Although, as Dominik Mysterio tried attacking his father with it, Bad Bunny would interfere and take care of it.

Bad Bunny would snatch away the chain from him, causing an advantage to Rey Mysterio and helping him win with a 619 and a frog splash. Celebrity interferences are a common occurrence in WWE. However, Bad Bunny’s help was what caused Rey Mysterio to secure the win over his son.

Rey Mysterio was also recently inducted into the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame class and was one of the most deserving inductions. But who exactly were the lWo who came to aid Mysterio in his hour of need?

Who is the new lWo and is it the same as the original lWo?

Rey Mysterio recently formed the new Latino World Order during the go-home show for WWE SmackDown before WrestleMania 39. However, it is not the same as the original one and consists of different superstars. The new Latino World Order aka lWo is a revamped version of the Legado Del Fantasma.

The faction consists of Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, and Zelina Vega, along with Rey Mysterio as their idol/mentor. The faction would interfere during Rey Mysterio’s WrestleMania 39 match against his son but failed to do what is needed. However, it was because of Bad Bunny, Mysterio would secure his win.

However, it seems the father-son feud is far from over, and there might be some consequences awaiting Mysterio in the near future.
