Watching a Hell In A Cell match is an absolute treat, and when WrestleMania includes the dangerous match, it doubles the excitement. Wrestling fans highly anticipated the match between Edge and ‘Demon’ Finn Balor, especially because of the stipulation. And the match featured the use of all possible weapons, from kendo sticks to chairs and tables. However, the use of a ladder by The Rated R Superstar resulted in an injury for his opponent, Balor.

The ladder throw by the veteran busted open the Irish performer. The match came to a screeching halt as Balor received the necessary medical attention. And he has since shared an image on his Twitter account. And showed the extent of the cut he suffered on his head. Fans quickly took to social media to express their reactions to the nasty injury.

The WWE universe was shocked to see the huge gash that was a result of the accident during the match. They took to social media in numbers to laud the first WWE Universal champion for his immense show of courage, despite him being a heel.

The backdrop to the feud was an intriguing one, with the evil faction being a thorn in Edge’s path since last year. It is hard to determine whether the freak injury played any part in the eventual outcome of the match. But it seems like the Judgement Day leader may be out of action for a while. He has had terrible luck when it comes to suffering from untimely injuries.

Balor was involved in the inaugural battle for the WWE Universal Championship against Seth Rollins back in 2016. And he won the contest sending his fans into a frenzy.

However, any joy was short-lived as the former Bullet Club leader had to relinquish his title the next night owing to a dislocated shoulder issue. It has been hard for Balor to reach those unassailable heights in his main roster career since. The association with the villainous stable has been a blessing in disguise for him. But it has to be said Mania was not kind to him this time around.

It was the Canadian veteran who triumphed over Finn Balor after delivering a trademark con-chair-to.
