The latest inductee of WWE Hall of Fame Rey Mysterio not only attained victory in a highly personal feud against his son Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania night 1 but also stole the show with his incredible Eddie themed entrance.

The second father-son match in WWE’s history finally materialized after months of build-up since Dominik Mysterio turned on his father at last year’s Clash of the Castle. The elder Mysterio initially was in denial to fight his son until the latter crossed all the limits by publically disrespecting his mother during a recent SmackDown episode.

Rey Mysterio’s special tribute to Eddie Guerrero touched his wife

The match saw a crazy start at the SoFi stadium, in California tonight. The entire crowd got insane when the master of the 619 made his entry with Eddie’s theme song ‘Lie, Cheat, Steal’ along with Snoop Dogg driving his low rider. Shortly after, Mysterio’s theme song took over as he walked down the aisle.

The entire segment created a feel-good moment for everyone present there. It also didn’t go unnoticed by the late superstar’s wife Vickie Guerrero, who expressed her pure joy after seeing the heartiest tribute by his late husband’s old friend cum peer.

Even though Dominik Mysterio blatantly walked away from the stadium just before his father mentioned his lifelong friend Eddie Guerrero in his Hall of Fame speech last night, the junior Mysterio didn’t miss out on paying tribute to the late star in his style. He wore the same kind of purple-colored gear as Eddie Guerrero as a sign of respect for the latter during his entry into the ring.

Dominik Mysterio has a significant childhood memory involving Eddie Guerrero

The 25-year-old star also has a notable childhood history involving the late star. One special storyline Dom often drags in between most of his interviews was a peculiar fight between his father and Guerrero regarding his custody as a child during WWE SummerSlam 2005. Dominik also got involved in an angle while the two men fought to climb the ladder first and own his custody. Considering his recent odds with his father, Prince Mysterio even considered taking a DNA test as he thinks he looks more like Guerrero than his biological father.

Speaking of the future of the Rey Mysterio vs Dominik Mysterio epic storyline, it seems like the family feud still didn’t come to an end at all. It might build up some further storylines that will unfold eventually in the future.
