Just how good has Damian Lillard been inside the Bubble? The star point guard has successfully guided the Trail Blazers a step towards the playoffs, as they are one of the teams in the Western Conference play-in tournament. In the Blazers’ victory against the Nets in their final seeding game, Lillard dropped 42.0 and etched his name into the NBA record books.
Over the years, Damian Lillard has become one of the NBA’s most prolific three-point shooters. His range just keeps improving with every passing year. Of course, you have Steph Curry who is still the best shooter in the NBA, but Dame is treading very closely to Steph at the moment.
According to StatMuse, Damian Lillard has equaled Steph Curry in terms of efficient three-point shooting this season. There are only two players who have, “shot 40% from three on at least 10 three-point attempts per game in a season.” And you guessed it. They are Damian Lillard and Steph Curry.

Even though Steph Curry has recorded two seasons where he’s been at least 40% from the 3-point range every game, Lillard is now the only other payer in this exclusive list. This certainly speaks volumes as to how much Dame Lillard has evolved over the years.
Besides this incredible feat, Lillard broke another long-standing record a week ago. He matched the great Wilt Chamberlain when he notched up 61-points in the Blazers’ three-point victory against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Portland Trail Blazers have played out their seeding games. They display a 6-2 record and the final victory against Brooklyn is the one which locked in their position as the #8 seed in the West.
The Phoenix Suns also won their final seeding game to become the only perfect team inside the Bubble. Much to their surprise, the Suns could not make the playoffs even with their 8-0 record as the Grizzlies upset the Bucks to edge into the ninth position.

Thus, the Portland Trail Blazers will now face-off against Memphis Grizzlies in a play-in tournament to determine the #8 seed. The winner will then book their place in the playoffs and take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round. A single victory for Portland is enough to send them in, while the Grizzlies have to register back-to-back victories.
