Deion Sanders will not rest easy tonight after their loss to the UCLA Bruins. The 56-year-old NFL Hall of Famer has been turning heads since he signed with the Buffs on a 5-year contract this season. He’s undoubtedly one of the most established coaches of the NCAA but there’s a lot left to be said about his team’s performance so far.

The Colorado Buffaloes are currently standing on a 4-4 record now. Coach Prime and his team were supposed to make a major comeback in this match as they continued to struggle to be in the championship race. Unfortunately, the Bruins ended up vanquishing the Buffaloes by an upsetting score of 28-16. During the match, Shilo Sanders, the safety for the Buffs, ended up being ejected on a controversial note. This gave way for the mother hen, Pilar Sanders, to voice her harsh words for the referees.

Shilo Sanders had a tough match today. During the first half of the game, Shilo was ejected for allegedly “targeting” Carsen Ryan, the running back for the Bruins. The call was met with a lot of backlash and it played a huge part in shifting the game in the Bruins’ favor.

Pilar Sanders expressed her dissatisfaction with the unfair judgment on X. She said, “these refs are making bad calls! smh” Shedeur and Shilo Sanders are both the pivotal wheels of the team. Thus, the Colorado team’s defense was bound to crumble when Shilo was ejected from the field. Several of the fans shared their frustration with the call and demanded a recheck, but to no avail. Even Deion Sanders had strong words to say about the bogus call.

Deion Sanders gets upset with his son’s ejection

The Buffaloes were trailing the Bruins with a score of 6-7 into halftime. But as soon as Shilo left the field, the defense wasn’t strong enough to deal with the Bruins’ harsh offense. The ejection occurred with 3:23 seconds left on the call, which eventually helped UCLA to capitalize and win by a 12-point difference.

Coach Prime seemed furious when the call was announced and he called it “horrendous” during an interview with ABC. His other son, Shedeur Sanders also faced tremendous pressure during the game. He reportedly took around 17 hits as the team failed to protect his throws. The team seems to lack a spirit of unity as they continue to witness a downfall in the NCAA. Coach Prime will have to make some really drastic changes to the team’s defense if they wish to stay in the race for glory.
