There is no doubt that the Spanish sensation, Carlos Alcaraz is doing wonders, at a very young age, in the men’s circuit. It was quite evident in the grass season when he recently achieved the unthinkable by outperforming the 7-time Wimbledon champion, Novak Djokovic. Prior to their thrilling five-set clash in the championship match, the currently ranked world No. 2 player had a decade-long supremacy on the Centre Court.

Now, still just 20, the ATP player has already added clinched two major titles and has received a lot of praise from the entire tennis community. Even the American tennis veteran, Jimmy Arias has now come forward to laud the currently ranked world No. 1 ahead of the US Open. In the process, the 58-year-old commentator made a bold assertion about Alcaraz while comparing him to the tennis legend and his arch-rival, Djokovic.

Prior to the forthcoming Grand Slam event in New York, Jimmy Arias has already revealed his favorite, and, it is not the ‘Djoker’. In the Tennis Channel podcast show, the American tennis veteran recently hailed Carlos Alcaraz, at his optimum levels, as the best player in the men’s circuit.

While lauding the 20-year-old player’s stellar prowess, the renowned commentator asserted that he is “better” than the tennis legend, Novak Djokovic. Later, Arias also emphasized his championship match against the Serb tennis star in the clay court major event. He said it was a strange situation for Alcaraz as he was playing against someone who was a 22-time Grand Slam champion at the time. But, he also believed that the Spaniard would be much more relaxed in the British Slam after having already faced the much more experienced player.

During the back-and-forth conversation, Arias further claimed that the young tennis star has the weapons of the ‘Big 3’ in the men’s circuit.
