Along with that, he also addressed how this might be the perfect opportunity for the Serbian tennis legend, Novak Djokovic, to claim his 23rd Grand Slam title at the clay-court tournament. “It’s much more open; you have Novak, who’s won it twice, and then it becomes much more wide open after that. On the other hand, his brother held the exact opposite view, arguing that the tournament will be the same without the Spaniard.

Following his brother’s assertion that the tournament was a fantastic opportunity for other tennis players, he recently expressed his opinion on Twitter.

The former French Open doubles champion claims that the Spaniard’s absence contradicts the idea that Roland Garros will be an open competition. However, it will continue to be the same as it was, much as when the 14-time French Open winner competed brilliantly on the clay court.
