The Miami Open 2021 will begin tomorrow and fans are quite exhilarated about it. With Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer are not playing, it’ll be the next-gen players who will try to steal the spotlight this time. While Rafa and Roger are not able to participate because they’re not completely fit, Djoker revealed some other reason for his withdrawal.
After winning the Australian Open 2021, World No.1 Novak Djokovic claimed that he was not able to give adequate time to his family due to the bubble. Thus, he withdrew from the Miami Open 2021 to do exactly that. However, he’s assured the organizers that he will be back next year.
“I’m very sorry to announce that this year I won’t travel to Miami to compete. I decided to use this precious time at home to stay with my family. With all restrictions, I need to find balance in my time on tour and at home. I look forward to coming back next year!” said Djokovic in a recent interview.

“This has been a difficult year for everyone, but especially for players with families. As a father of two myself, I know how important it is to spend time with your children,” said Blake in a recent interview.
