Andre Agassi picks his mentoring talents
In an interview, when asked about returning to the game as a coach, the former world number showed interest in coaching Nick Kyrgios, John Isner, and Gael Monfils ahead of other players. The 52-year-old has previously been linked to being a potential mentor to some of the greatest players in the world. But this time, he clearly stated who he wanted to mentor.
He said, “I can point to people that would be fun and interesting. To me, there’s a gap between what [John] Isner, [Gaël] Monfils, and Kyrgios do and what I think they could do. That’s interesting and exciting, but if they don’t want to be coached, it would be short-lived and painful. I would pay to watch all of those guys play, but it’s impossible to say whether I could coach them.”

I wouldn’t be able to do it because I couldn’t do it the way I would need to do it.”
