In a recent episode of the ‘What Now? with Trevor Noah’ podcast show, the controversial tennis star said, “You look at Roger and Novak and Nadal, like, I’m not saying they’re doing it wrong. Like they’ve bought into the process. And they’ve become, you know, champions and whatever. But I just think I’m just not that personality.”

He added, “Like I love gaming. I love hanging out with my friends. I love feeling normal. I’ve gotten to get a coffee like I love. And then if I’m playing some pro tennis on the side, that’s great. But like, it’s like, I’m not willing to sacrifice these other things that make me really, really happy.” The ‘bad boy of tennis’ might not emulate the likes of Novak, Rafa, and Roger; however, he holds a rare ‘Big 3’ feat.

Kyrgios’ rare ‘Big 3’ record on the men’s tour

The controversial tennis star is one of the few players on the ATP tour who have managed to overcome all three greats: Federer, Djokovic, and Nadal. In fact, Kyrgios currently has a 2-1 lead against the 24-time singles Grand Slam champion in their H2H record. He managed to overcome Djokovic in their first two meetings at the BNP Paribas Open and Abierto Mexicano Telcel, and that too in straight sets.

The ‘King of the Clay,’ on the other hand, has also faced three defeats against Kyrgios at Wimbledon, the Abierto Mexicano Telcel, and the Western and Southern Open. Meanwhile, Federer has also faced the Aussie on seven occasions, and his only defeat came at the Madrid Open.
