Novak Djokovic to ‘Promote a New Business’ During the Australian Open

Novak Djokovic has seen massive highs during the 2023 season. The Serb won 3 out of the 4 Grand Slam titles. In addition to these, he also clinched a host of other big titles. As a result, he has been the most-talked-about tennis player this season. Recently, the Serb had a perfect end to the ATP season by winning the ATP World Tour Finals. Days after clinching that trophy, Djokovic has delivered massive plans for the future.

The World Number 1, who is playing in the Davis Cup this week, aims to continue his winning run at the Australian Open next year. During that tournament, he will also launch his new venture.

Novak Djokovic opens up about his business plans

During an interview, Djokovic said, “I had a break in tournaments from the US Open to Bercy (Paris Masters), so I had time to dedicate myself more to those things. I attended many events that mean a lot for my brand and my presence in that world.” As Djokovic revealed more, a new exciting future plan came to light.

Further, Djokovic added, “The news I can give you right now is that during my time in Australia, I will promote a new business. It is a new sports hydrating drink – that’s going to be the start, but that brand will consist of a lot of wellness products, so I am looking forward to that.”

While Novak Djokovic is still far away from ending his career, given the form he is in, the Serb is certainly thinking about his post-retirement plans. As a result, the 24-time Grand Slam champion feels that this time will be perfect to start a new venture.

Serena Williams, who has a venture capital firm, once inspired Djokovic to set up his own VC firm. The Serb was excited to start from scratch and plan his post-retirement activities.

Talking about it, he said, “As we speak, my business team is looking to consideration of different locations to set up a VC fund as I’ve said, and Dubai is probably the priority to this. We talk about Dubai and how important it is for me as a tennis player.”

While Novak Djokovic may be the world’s best tennis player at the moment, he is certainly not far behind when it comes to planning business ventures. As a result, fans can expect surprises from him when he launches his new venture at the Australian Open next year.
