Novak Djokovic This Year

After walking out of the Australian Open due to his disagreement with Covid-related rules, Djokovic took part in the Dubai Championship. However, he couldn’t claim the title, as the Chech professional, Jiri Vesely, outclassed him in the quarterfinals. The Serbian lost in straight sets of 4-6, 6-7 against the 28-year-old. Thereafter, he sidelined Indian Wells and the Miami Open because of the same reason for which he left the Australian Open.

Although his journey in Monte Carlo Open was short-lived, he will look forward to performing better by using the connection to tennis that Monte Carlo Masters provided.
