The International Biathlon Sports Unit (IBU) has confirmed Lenzerheide as its venue for the championships in 2025. Surprisingly, tennis legend Roger Federer is endorsing the tournament this time. He conveyed his excitement to the fans and hoped to see them there soon.

“Hello everyone, it’s Roger here, I hope you’re doing well. Lenzerheide has a lot to offer. We would love to welcome the Biathlon World Champs in 2025 and I’ll see you there, take care,” said an enthusiastic Roger Federer.

Federer seemed pretty interested in the tournament himself. He will also be there in Lenzerheide in 2025 to experience the event live.

For the uninitiated, the IBU World Cup is a biathlon season-long competition series. Biathlon is a winter sport that is a combination of both cross-country skiing and rifle shooting.

Undoubtedly, the Swiss Maestro is not only a tennis ambassador but also a sports icon. His presence at the IBU World Cup will surely make the event more electrifying.

It has almost been a year since fans last saw the 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer on the court. Although he has been quite active off the court, his absence from the court is difficult to digest.

The Swiss Maestro is looking to make a comeback at the Australian Open 2021. His former coach Stefan Edberg explained that the 39-year-old Federer has been working really hard to make a convincing comeback.

After successive knee surgeries, Federer’s fans hope that he would win his 21st Grand Slam title at the Australian Open and once again take the lead over Rafael Nadal in the Grand Slam tally.

The ATP Finals 2020 are currently underway and the tournament is surely missing its all-time leader.
