After multiple stops due to the rain, the semifinal match between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz has finally reached its end with a disappointing result for Sinner at Indian Wells. He was on a red-hot streak while he was playing at the Indian Wells tournament but unfortunately, he lost to the world number 2 Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals.

At the beginning of the match Sinner was leading the match with 2-1 but the rain certainly took away his moment to win. Even though he lost, he still managed to get his name in one of the most historic stats in ATP history. Let’s take a look at that.

It is not easy to lose a match at such a crucial stage especially when it has been interrupted by rain multiple times. However, that is what happened to Jannik Sinner. But even after losing, he was able to create history as he got his name in the list of ‘Best Starts in ATP Your History (Since 1990)’

This list was predominated by Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. But there were other names in the list as well like Rafael Nadal and Pete Sampras. And now another addition to the list has been Jannik Sinner whose stats match that of Roger Federer in 2006.

It is amazing to see that even after incurring a loss, he was able to get his name up there. This makes us wonder if he hadn’t lost, it would have gotten to the top of the list as well.

But another thing that tennis fans were highly impressed by when this loss got out was not only Sinner’s achievement but that of Novak Djokovic’s unbeatable 41-0 streak as well. They could not stop gushing over it.

After the list got out, it could be seen that Novak Djokovic had his name 3 times on the list with scores that said 41-0 in 2011, 26-0 in 2020, and 17-0 in 2013. Fans were so pleased by the scores.

One of the fans came ahead and expressed his astonishment over the Serbian star’s score of these many wins. They could not believe that he had a streak of 41 wins.

Another one came added and suggested that this is one for the history books. The fan added that it could not be broken ever. They were certain that this is a score that is not easy to beat and it may take players years to even come close to this one.

Joining others was this fan, who came ahead and hailed the insane longevity that the Serbian has shown on the tennis courts. Fans were not only impressed that he has his name here but also emphasized the fact that he was on top all the time including being number 1.

Just like the others, this fan also joined the party as he expressed his amusement over the incredible record that the Serbian holds.
