“Took Less Than Three Minutes”: Journalist Silences Stefanos Tsitsipas After He Questions Andy Murray

World No.3 Stefanos Tsitsipas advanced to the third round of the US Open 2021 after defeating France’s Adrian Mannarino in four sets. He bageled his opponent in the fourth set after losing the third one in a close tie-breaker. The final scoreline of the match was 6-3, 6-4, 6(4)-7(7), 6-0.
Interestingly, Stefanos Tsitsipas again took a 7-minute toilet break after losing the third set against Adrian Mannarino. The Greek player received a lot of criticism over his toilet-breaks recently after Andy Murray said that he lost all the respect for him for what he did at the US Open 2021.
After facing backlash from Murray and the media, Tsitsipas decided to ask questions about Murray from the press. He tried to take a dig at the British player by citing that even he took a toilet break during his US Open 2012 final match against Novak Djokovic.

“I have a question for you. I don’t watch other people’s business. But I remember watching it when I was younger. Can you please check when Andy Murray faced Novak Djokovic at the final here, before the fifth set, that break, can you please look it up and let me know next time?” asked Tsitsipas to a journalist.
However, the journalist hit him back with his reply by saying that he had checked the fact and observed that Murray only took a less than 3-minute toilet break during that match.
“I did. He took less than three minutes,” replied the reporter.

Stefanos Tsitsipas becomes speechless after the journalist’s response
Clearly, Tsitsipas didn’t expect such a quick reply from the journalist. He looked shocked that Murray only took a less than 3-minute break while he spent around seven minutes in the toilet after losing the third set against Mannarino.
“Less than three minutes. Okay,” concluded the World No.3 player.
