The off-season might have seen multiple trades and free agent signings, but there seems to be no end to the growing storyline of Ben Simmons’ departure from the Philadelphia 76ers.
Simmons who started off as the primary point guard of the team has shown incredible skill in terms of passing and court vision ever since his debut. Not only that, his defense has shone throughout his career in the league.
But with the lack of a jump shot, Simmons hasn’t meshed that well with Joel Embiid who primarily is a dominant post scorer. Given how questionable the fit alongside Embiid has been for years and the amount of slander he received after the 2021 playoffs, Simmons is seemingly on his way out of the team.

Despite reports of Philly opting to freeze out his salary or even bench him rather than trading him, it seems like Simmons won’t be seen in a 76ers jersey anytime soon.
