According to Warriors’ head coach Steve Kerr, golf isn’t the only thing Stephen Curry has in common with Michael Jordan. Evidently, Steph shares the competitive mentality of MJ where he always challenges the toughest guy on the opposing team.
Be it, LeBron James or Kevin Durant, the GSW leader has never hesitated in trying to do the unthinkable. This is arguably why he is the pioneer of the three-point revolution in the league.
And as his proud coach, this is what Steve Kerr had to say about Curry’s approach to the game after their night against the Hawks.

Warriors head coach showers praise on Stephen Curry and his mentality
After Curry’s impressive performance against the Hawks, Steve Kerr appeared on a radio interview with 95.7 The Game Radio’s podcast with Damon and Ratto. While discussing Curry’s unique approach to the game, coach Kerr agreed that he is driven by trying to show the best player on the opposing team what he can do.
The 56-YO added, “He finds ways to motivate himself. And it’s not think, you know it’s real. He wants to win a championship. He wants to beat the best teams..”

Kerr then emphasized that even against the best players like Trae Young or others, who could be Curry‘s protege, the Baby Faced Assassin does not hold back. He still plays like he has something more to prove.

Kerr concluded his opinion by saying “All that stuff factors in, it’s one of the reasons Steph is as great as he is. He goes so far beyond the skill. It’s the competitive desire and the belief in himself that can follow through on that competitiveness.”

Stephen Curry is coming off an exceptional game against the Atlanta Hawks that shook the entire NBA. After an injury scare in the first quarter, Stephen Curry went off. The 3x NBA Champion ended the game with 50 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds as the Warriors cruised past the Hawks in a 127-113 victory.
This certainly marks the beginning of yet another historic season for the GSW great. He might as well break few league records in the coming months.
