Los Angeles Lakers are currently 24-26 this season and recently lost 105-87 to the Sixers. However, the game got heated in between as some Sixers fans and Carmelo Anthony got involved in an altercation. Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley reacted to the incident in a recent ‘Inside the NBA’ show.

The game between the Lakers and the Sixers became the talking point for all wrong reasons. During the fourth quarter of the game, when the Lakers were 16 points behind, Carmelo Anthony got involved in a heated altercation with some fans.

However, he returned after exchanging a few words on the sidelines. But Melo then went towards another Sixers fan, but Sixers center Joel Embiid stopped the situation from escalating further.

The incident was discussed in a recent ‘Inside the NBA’ episode as Ernie Johnson brought up the matter and asked everyone’s thoughts on it. Shaq wasn’t happy with Melo for his actions and expressed his opinion on the matter.

Shaquille O’Neal opens up on Carmelo Anthony-Sixers fans incident

During a recent episode of ‘Inside the NBA’ on TNT, Shaq talked about Melo and his altercation with the fans. He also said that it wouldn’t have bothered him.

“When you’re warriors like me and Chuck, that don’t bother you anyway,” Shaq said.

“When you’re warriors like us, that ain’t gonna stop me… ..Let me tell you something, brother. Playing in Texas, playing in the SEC, I heard it all. It ain’t gotta be right. That ain’t gonna stop me.”

Carmelo Anthony later revealed what happened during that incident. He said that some fans were calling him ‘boy’ and made other inappropriate comments towards him. It was later reported that a fan was ejected from the Wells Fargo Center.

According to Keith Pompey, the fan was banned by the Sixers and will not be able to attend any of their games in the future. Additionally, he won’t be allowed to attend any event at the Wells Fargo Center.
