There’s a reason why Arnold Schwarzenegger is hailed as a legend to date. His highly chiseled physique and ostrich egg biceps to date stand unmatched by modern bodybuilders. Even the best in the sport collate and get compared with the pro’s build, they don’t intrigue the community as much as he did. On a similar note, a recent Instagram post issued a comparison between two icons of the sport from the past and the present.

A picture featuring the ripped backs of Mr. Olympia Classic champion Chris Bumstead and seven-time Mr. Olympia Schwarzenegger surfaced on the platform hours ago, which urged the fans to choose a winner. Hence, the bodybuilding community deduced a clear champion based on their insights.

While the two pro athletes hail from different generations of the sport, the 28-year-old bodybuilder seemingly has a long way to go to match the standards that the Austrian Oak has set. The comparison hinted at the different periods by collaging Cbum’s picture in color and Arnold’s in B&W.

Posted on Instagram by ‘Golden Days,’ a page dedicated to the Golden Era of Bodybuilding, it aimed to juxtapose the two bests of their times, encouraging an impromptu debate over their shredded back conditioning. Fans hailed Arnir’s back as perfect, despite the Canadian athlete’s highly aesthetic frame.

Moreover, the majority of the reactions were hooked on the 75-year-old pro’s physique while pointing out that Cbum needs to put in a lot of work to even near the former athlete’s proportions. Some comments even took a dig at Cbum’s steroid usage and hailed Arnie as more natural.

The bodybuilding world chooses their unmatched winner

In a few hours, the post amassed more than 1.8k likes and a plethora of comments, though, the most appreciated only Arnie’s robust build. One fan expressed their unhindered regard for the legend and wrote, “Arnold’s shoulders and biceps are from another planet.” Whereas another fan was irked by the comparison itself. “I don’t know why they compare them cbum’s body needs a lot more development to get close to Arnold,” the comment read.

A fan praised the Austrian bodybuilder’s perfect back and deemed the comparison as futile by stating, “A true actual V…Arnold…not to mention some of the best arms ever, this isn’t even remotely close.” A more mindful and respectful remark hailed both the athletes as “two great physiques” but from “different eras, different supplements” and yet revealing the true champion. “still Arnold’s frame looks very muscular but more natural than cbum,” it implied.

Although Bumstead is a superior athlete of the current times, his standards still have to bolster to match the age-old icon, Schwarzenegger. Regardless, his chiseled and aesthetic frame has bagged him four Mr. Olympia Classic titles, and it’s worth appreciating. What is your viewpoint on the comparison? Tell us in the comments.
