“What a Shame”: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ‘Best Form’ From 1974 Leaves Bodybuilding World Demanding More

The bodybuilding sphere has seen some epic on-stage performances that might last a lifetime. Moreover, seven-time Mr. Olympia, Arnold Schwarzenegger, had reigned the bodybuilding stages for years, yet, his last few competitions were the hot zone of controversy. Around the end of his bodybuilding career, the athlete had already stepped into the film industry. 

This aspect derived much critique from his fellow athletes and the sphere. A recent Instagram post by The Golden Days featured Arnie as the 1974 Mr. Olympia champion. This post gathered much attention from the community, leaving them in awe of his finesse.

As per the post shared by the bodybuilding page dedicated to the Golden Era athletes, the picture displayed the former athlete in his peak shredded frame. Moreover, the caption hinted at the fact that the event was supposed to be Arnie’s very last competition. Several fans took to the comments to hail his physique. 

Arnie seemed dauntless and in his peak frame at that point. The former ended up winning the event against notable athletes, which sparked a lot of debate within the community. Owing to Arnold’s fame and influence in the bodybuilding industry, many speculated that the judgment was apparently biased.

Moreover, he was already working on his movie, Conan The Barbarian. Hence, winning the show was a greater promotion for him. Regardless, the fans’ admiration for the now 75-year-old star remained unhindered. 

Fans react to the 1974 Mr. Olympia winner

Within a few hours, the post gathered several remarks from the community. One fan hailed it as The Austrian Oak’s “best form”, while another left a thoughtful note. “There is no video of this Mr Olympia or 1973. Most would consider those 2 years Arnold’s best. What a shame,” the comment read. The fan claimed that there is no evidence treasured from the best 2 years of the star athlete.

Biggest Arnold ever,” another fan chimed in and wrote. Similarly, a fan regarded Arnie’s frame as “one of the most legendary physiques!” If that was not the end of the athlete’s reign, he went on to win another Mr. Olympia title for the next consecutive year in 1975.
