Adrien Broner Shares Powerful Message by NBA Legend Michael Jordan Whilst Battling Mental Health

American boxer, Adrien Broner, is a four-time world champion, but he has been inactive in the sport lately. Apparently, the month of August is proving to disappoint boxing fans. First, the Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr. fight got cancelled, and now Broner has pulled out of his upcoming bout. The champ has done so due to mental health issues, take a look at the powerful message that he wants to convey.

Broner shared a clip of the NBA legend, Michael Jordan, on his Instagram story, where the latter quotes, “To win you gotta lose. To be successful, you’ve gotta have something that’s not successful. To be happy, you got to have disappointment.”   

The boxer recently revealed through Instagram that he won’t be fighting Omar Figueroa Jr. on August 20. He wrote, “Man I’m going thru a lot at this moment in my life but I ain’t go give up I set some more goals and I ain’t stopping until I finish what I started but sorry to say this but I’m not fighting #August20th.”

Omar Figueroa Jr. accuses Adrien Broner of making an excuse 

Adrien Broner has pulled out of the match just a few days before the fight day due to mental health issues. However, Broner’s opponent doesn’t feel that is the case. He recently shared a post on Instagram shedding light on the subject. 

He wrote, “FKN excuse. THAT, have “a problem” w because that’s BS! You don’t get to cry #Mental Health now, mf! Not saying you DON’T suffer from mental health issues as WE CAN ALL tell you do, just don’t use it as an excuse NOW, after you’ve been undisciplined.”

He further added, “You don’t get to undermine mine and countless other’s journey and struggles w #MentalHealth because of your undisciplined/childish dumb a*s!”

He even asked Broner to show his fans the proof that he was seeking professional help. Well, Figueroa Jr. has also suffered through mental health issues in the past. Moreover, Broner has been inactive in boxing lately and has fought only three times in the past 5 years.
