Despite Numerous Controversies, Dennis Rodman was once Hailed as ‘A God’ by boxing Legend Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson hosts a variety of stars and personalities on his podcast called HotBoxin’ with Mike Tyson. With his guests, ‘Kid Dynamite’ discusses various incidents of his personal and professional life. Fans are often able to witness a more uncensored and relaxed Mike Tyson on this popular podcast of his. So far, Tyson has hosted world-class athletes, entertainers, and other stars.

Whoever it be Tyson is offering hospitality to, ‘Kid Dynamite’ has a way with his guests and stars. In 2020, Mike Tyson hosted the NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman. This was one of the most viewed episode of HotBoxin’ with Mike Tyson. As soon as the show began, co-host, Eben Britton announced that they had a very special guest onboard.

However, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ soon stole the light from everyone, and addressing Dennis Rodman said, “We got a God in here today.” Observing the manner in which Tyson had introduced his guest, Dennis Rodman laughed out loud. Making a spontaneous reply to Tyson’s words, he said, “A God? You mean Moses? That’s God right there.”

With that reply from Rodman, everyone present cracked up, including Mike Tyson. Rodman is considered to be one of the best rebounding forwards the NBA has ever seen.

When Mike Tyson was compared to Moses

Seven times, Rodman earned the NBA All-Defensive First Team honors. In addition, twice he won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. In the October 2021, Rodman received the honor of one of the league’s greatest players of all time. Mike Tyson referred to Rodman as God and the latter spoke about Moses.

However, earlier this year, when Rosie Perez appeared on HotBoxin’, she compared Tyson to Moses. Back in the day when Tyson was dominating heavyweight boxing, Perez once encountered ‘Kid Dynamite’ at a place. The following is how she described the scene:

“You [Tyson] walked into the Cheetahs, and everybody was so in awe and terrified of you at the same time. It was like Moses parting the red sea. Everybody just moved the f*** out of your way.”
