UFC commentator Joe Rogan thinks that the match between Floyd Mayweather and former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor was a cash grab. The bout took place in 2017 and was Mayweather’s last professional boxing match as he beat ‘The Notorious’ in the 10th round to leave the sport with an unblemished 50-0 record.

Moreover, this event was considered to be one of the highest-grossing fights in boxing history with around 4.3 million PPV buys. This made it come just short of the 4.6 million buys Mayweather vs Pacquiao did in 2017. This was the reason why many believed that the fight was mainly done for financial purposes.

It was a money grab, but he tried to win that fight. He thought he could win, he caught him with an uppercut.” said Rogan. The fight between the two was closer than many people expected. McGregor set the pace in the early stages and kept Mayweather busy for the first half. However, ‘Money‘ would up his pace in the second half, eventually securing a TKO finish in the 10th round.

Rogan hints that McGregor might be using PEDs for his new look

McGregor’s new bulky look has become the talk of the combat sports world, as many try to decipher the secret to this transformation. However, Rogan believes that the former UFC champ might have taken some illicit substances to get this physique. On his podcast, alongside with fitness YouTuber MPMD, Rogan hinted that McGregor might be using PEDs.

He’s taking his shirt off and posing constantly, and he looks like his p*ss would melt that USADA cup. Like, it would just like burn a hole right through the bottom of that USADA cup,” he said.

McGregor is not currently under the testing pool of USADA and has not been active since losing to Dustin Poirier. However, if he looks to make a return, he needs to first list himself in the testing pool and go through a stringent process.
