It has been quite an eventful year for the world of boxing. We have been given interesting and nail-biting matchups one after the other. While we still recover from the highly volatile Errol Spence Jr. vs Terence Crawford championship fight, we are yet again served a super enthralling bout this weekend. Yes, Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul will be going against Nate Diaz on the 5th of August in the American Airlines Center, Dallas.

This is the second time ‘Problem Child’ will be entering the ring this year. He comes to bounce back from his first loss registered against Tommy Fury earlier this year. This is also the first time Nate Diaz will be entering the boxing ring outside of his 17 years of career in UFC. The matchup is estimated to generate massive bucks. It has kept the two boxers on the edge against each other. Just a couple of days ahead of this big fight, the two have officially entered their final preps. Jake Paul undertook a medical test as a part of his final preparations. He seems to be way too proud of this one particular test.

Clean and ready to fight, Jake Paul! Here he comes!

Taking to his social media, the influencer-turned-boxer storied the image of a medical test which confirms that he has certainly not taken any performance enhancers before the big match. The samples collected on the 19th of July have been accepted and approved by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association. VADA is an organization that keeps a watch on sportspersons engaging in steroids to enhance their performance. This is his second test of the same nature. He earlier posted the report of a similar test taken on 6th July.

It is quite evident that Paul has bulked up massively as compared to his previous match against Tommy. On regular occasions, Paul posted progress updates on his social media. He was met with a considerable amount of conjecture. Folks accused him of consuming performance enhancers to bulk up so quickly. However, his taking a test was not mandated as it is a celebrity event and is not overseen by any boxing body.

A massive matchup, but where are the sales?

There is an increasing worry that the upcoming fight between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz will not be generating the revenue it was expected to generate. The matchup to be held at the American Airlines Center has seen sluggish ticket sales and PPV purchases. Earlier, Paul has been very vocal about the lack of effort put in by Diaz in promoting the event. Problem Child on the other hand, has left no stone unturned in hyping the event in person and on social media.

A video that went viral earlier is an excellent way to prove Jake’s commitment to getting this fight the money that it deserves. He posted quite a long video of him making an impression on his opponent which left the internet in splits. Responding to Jake’s allegations, Nate said, “Honestly, I believe my fight promotes itself.”  He also insinuated that he does not bother himself to market his fights. He said, “If people want to watch, that’s great. If they don’t, that’s fine too.”
