Showtime might be bidding goodbye to boxing, but before that happens, Jermall Charlo has some questions he needs answered. After dropping the responsibility of fighting Canelo Alvarez on his younger sibling, Jermell Charlo, the older Charlo brother is now fighting Jose Benavidez Jr. (David Benavidez’s older brother) on November 25th on the undercard of David Benavidez and Demetrius Andrade. It remains uncertain whether Charlo’s WBC middleweight title will be on the line for the upcoming fight.

Meanwhile, following in HBO’s footsteps, the 2.2 billion dollar network Showtime has announced its exit from boxing. This is the last year that we will see Showtime being active. Jermall Charlo however has some serious accusations against the network. Let us find out what Showtime has done to deserve harsh criticism from the boxer.

Charlo has bashed Showtime for denying him publicity and refusing to give him any press conference before his upcoming bout. “Showtime like, they ain’t give me no press conference. They ain’t did nothing for me. They ain’t tell you I was fighting yet.” Showtime has not been advertising Charlo’s fight the way he expected the company to.

“Showtime tryna boycott me. They ain’t tell me when I’m fighting. I’ll be back, 25th. I’m getting better everyday.” Charlo, however, has been doing his utmost to prepare for the 25th of November fight. Regardless of whether the network ‘boycotts’ Charlo, he will be back after 2 years of boxing hiatus to prove that he is still just as much of a menace inside the ring as he was 2 years ago.

This surprising choice stemmed from an unexpected incident backstage where Plant slapped Charlo at the pre-fight weigh-in event of Terence Crawford vs Errol Spence Jr. While the exact details of the altercation remain unclear, Plant emphasized that Charlo’s aggressive behavior prompted the former to slap him. As a result, Plant is determined to make a bout with Charlo his top priority in the boxing arena.
