Come this weekend, Jake Paul will enter the boxing ring for the second time this year. He is all set to fight against Nate Diaz on the 5th of August. The fight is an important one for ‘Problem Child’ as he comes to redeem himself from his first loss given to him by Tommy Fury earlier this year. Nate on the other hand also values this fight given that it is his first boxing fight after ending more than a decade-long stint with the UFC.
Jake for a long time has claimed that this fight is more than just boxing for him. He has said that he undertakes this celebrity matchup to give Nate a taste of loss. Nate has been accused of being arrogant, proud, and pompous of himself, and Jake has taken it upon himself to break this delusion of the ex-UFC fighter. As the hostility is all set to take shape in the boxing ring this weekend, the press conference ahead of it saw both clans come at each other.

It is a battle, and Jake Paul spearheads it
Ahead of their big matchup, the two fighters faced each other on Thursday night for a press conference. While the two fighters maintained some civility, a brawl ensued between their teams. It was their security teams that got into a heated physical altercation. Nate’s team claims that Jake’s security went after one of its fighters and then hurled at the team. However, the other side claims it was Nate’s security who first threw the punch and in return got hit by one of Paul’s security.
All out warfare, eye for eye. You threatened MVPs co-founder who has been a partner to you and your team every step of the way? He’s put your best friend on over and over again. Stupid. Then your team wants to swing on us…so you got served a three piece and a biscuit. Punk. It’s…

The night did not end on a peaceful note. As Jake retired from the conference, he sent a message to the other side declaring that it is a war, and it will not get easier for Diaz anytime soon. He vowed for a retortion of an equal magnitude. Jake said, “You threatened MVPs co-founder who has been a partner to you and your team every step of the way? He’s put your best friend on over and over again. Stupid. Then your team wants to swing on us…so you got served a three-piece and a biscuit. Punk. It’s time for goodnight.”
But where does this animosity come from?
Well, it’s not a freshly brewing rivalry that we are noticing between the two. It dates almost a year from now when the two first got into a heated face-off. It all started the night in October when Jake Paul took on Anderson Silva. As he defeated Silva in a matchup that seemed to be hung, he came riding on frustrations that erupted backstage. Before the fight, Nate Diaz who was also in attendance had reportedly slapped one of Jake’s security persons. And then followed a brawl that saw both sides of the clan throw drinks and other items at each other.

As this rivalry inches to its showdown, tensions between the two camps seem to be peaking. The night is also going to churn some great cheques in favor of both fighters. The deal gives them 50-50 of the purse amount and has failed to generate the buzz it was expected to generate. This will most seemingly have an impact on the PPV and ticket sales.
