15 years after his retirement from boxing, when Mike Tyson announced a comeback two years ago, it rattled many, especially Dana White. White and Tyson have maintained a cordial relationship and been each other’s well-wishers in the sport. Therefore, when Tyson announced a possible comeback at the ripe age of 54, it worried his friend White.

Recently, the now 56-year-old and former heavyweight champion of the world took to Instagram and shared the moment his friend Dana White, out of care, almost got him killed. As the news about Tyson making a return to boxing broke out, White called his champion friend and urged him to not fight. Instead, White offered Tyson a TV show to help the retired champion make some money. This led Tyson to believe White cared for him and was unconditionally lending him a helping hand.

Dana White said, “I called him up and said, ‘Dude, I don’t want you to do this f***ing fight, man. This is f***ing crazy. I’ll get you a job, you know, a TV show, you make some money. So, I put him on Shark Week. He was like, ‘You care about me m***f***? You tell me not to fight, you put me on a f***ing Shark tank? Yeah, you really care about me.”

Dana White talks about Mike Tyson being pissed off during the shooting of the Shark Week

According to Tyson, as soon as he heard about White‘s offer of a TV show, he talked about the same with his wife. Although Tyson accepted to be on Shark Week, he nearly hated the idea of swimming with the sharks.

Therefore, on the day of the shooting, Tyson arrived in an unpleasant mood and had the whole film crew terrified.

White added by saying, “So, the day he had to jump in and do the Shark thing, I see he was going f***ing crazy, pissed off. The whole film crew was terrified. Everybody was scared and sh*t like he had to dive into the water.”

In a tone of sarcasm, Tyson had earlier said, “He gets me a job on Shark Week. He really cares about me, Dana really cares about my well-being.”  On the shoot of Shark Week, Tyson almost felt he would get seasick and that the shark would eat him out of the cage. Luckily, Tyson managed to put a shark to sleep by tickling its nose and left absolutely unharmed.
