

The 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games is going to omit amateur boxing. A series of governance issues have led to this decision by the organizers of the Olympics. Recently, an amateur boxer named Francesca Hennessy took to Twitter and announced boxing to be ‘rigged’. Hennessy uploaded a clip of her performance in amateur boxing.

In the clip, Hennessy is seen to represent the blue corner, and her opponent, the red corner inside the ring. As per what the clip revealed, Hennesy looked more active and more successful throughout the fight. However, in the end, Hennessy’s opponent, Rebecca Kavanagh, won the fight.

That Kavanagh won the fight via decision disappointed Hennesy. Following this event, Hennessy posted the fight on Twitter and announced boxing was rigged. In addition, she claimed there was no wonder why the Olympics was ‘throwing out’ amateur boxing.
She wrote, “This game is rigged. No wonder amateur boxing is being thrown out of the Olympics. Please explain @IBA_Boxing, @SadieDuffy4 (@IABABOXING)?”
