Anthony Joshua wants a fight before facing Deontay Wilder

TalkSport reporter Michael Benson recently revealed that ‘AJ’ might be eyeing a comeback in July, before competing in December. The Briton had already announced that he would be fighting in December. However, it now looks like he could be in a fight this summer.

Joshua’s recent victory over Jermaine Franklin at The O2 Arena showed that he is still a force to be reckoned with. On the other hand, Wilder’s demolition of Robert Helenius last October highlighted his power and explosiveness. Both fighters have expressed their desire to face each other, and a potential showdown in Saudi Arabia could be the perfect stage for one of the biggest cards in heavyweight boxing history. As for Joshua’s next fight, possibly rumored contenders include Filip Hrgovic and Zhilei Zhang.

Joshua reveals the ongoing negotiations with Wilder

The heavyweight giants seem close to reaching an agreement for this super fight. As per Metro, Joshua revealed that the negotiations for this fight were almost done and that he is 95 percent sure that the fight will take place.

It’s going to be a tough fight but I am confident in myself. I’m a better, more well-rounded athlete, a better, more well-rounded fighter. In terms of it getting delivered [from my side], I honestly believe it is 95 percent there,” he said.
