Star British heavyweight Anthony Joshua is struggling with the trainers. Since he lost his unified title to the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, he has been on a quest to search for a new trainer. After searching for months, it seems that his problem has finally been sorted.

Per ESPN Ringside, “Anthony Joshua will be trained by Robert Garcia for his heavyweight title rematch with Oleksandr Usyk on July 23 in Saudi Arabia.”

As Joshua may have wanted fresh ideas and inputs, he went to the USA to get a better trainer. A few months back, his training videos under the guidance of former five-weight division champ Floyd Mayweather circulated on social media.

It led to speculation that AJ was training under the wings of Mayweather for the rematch. However, later it was found that ‘Money’ was just giving some lessons to the Brit.

According to Joshua, his loss against Usyk highlighted the failure of his entire training team. So, before entering the ring for the second time against ‘The Cat’, ‘AJ’ decided to change his trainer.

After the loss, he said, “In all honesty, they’re still trying to make that relationship work. So what I want to do is step away and let these guys sort out whatever they need to sort out, and I need to go and get some new teachings.”
Meanwhile, many raised questions about Joshua’s will. According to former interim heavyweight champ, Dillian Whyte, the problem was with him and not with his trainers.
