Anthony Joshua Shares a Special Moment With Floyd Mayweather

Anthony Joshua silenced his critics and surpassed one of the biggest tests of his career against Kubrat Pulev at the Wembley Arena on December 12.
He defended his unified heavyweight straps and ended a 2-year-long knockout-draught by flooring Pulev in the ninth round of their 12-round battle.
Prior to the matchup, Floyd Mayweather showed his support towards ‘AJ’ as he arrived at the Wembley Arena. Following the fight, the two legends met there was mutual respect.

He hailed Joshua’s in-ring craft and did a couple of photoshoots with the heavyweight champion. It is no surprise, Joshua also relished the moment and was all smiles after the win.
He posted a picture with his heavyweight straps, alongside Floyd Mayweather. The image of the two dominant forces of boxing sent the fans into a frenzy.

Following the KO win, Joshua went towards Mayweather and the pair had some moments. Although ‘AJ’ was the main man, Mayweather grabbed some attention with the stint.
In the pre-fight segment, Mayweather connected with Sky Sports to comment on Joshua before making his way to his seat.

Hailing Joshua’s abilities, ‘Money May’ said, “I mean it’s always good to see some great boxing. UK is a great place, so many great fighters. I am proud of Anthony Joshua but slice, camera, action.”
Floyd Mayweather added, “He is one of the best heavyweights out there you know, got a gold medal before, his career is going great. Two-time world heavyweight champion, he is a hell of a fighter.”

Joshua’s upcoming journey will demand more from him since a title unification fight with WBC champion Tyson Fury is on the cards. Both, Joshua and Fury want this fight to happen and by beating Pulev, ‘AJ’ has cleared his final hurdle.
It looks like the stage is set for the biggest Heavyweight championship fight since Ali-Frazier in 1971, when @Tyson_Fury meets @anthonyfjoshua for the undisputed crown.
