Boxing is in the DNA of the Benavidez family. David Benavidez, the former two-time WBC super middleweight champion’s son Anthony Benavidez, is evidence of it. ‘The Mexican Monster’s loving wife Karina Silva gave birth to Anthony in September 2020. Since then, the baby grew up watching his father in the gym, which automatically made him curious about the sport and programmed his mind to learn it. He is hardly more than 2 years of age, but the boxing skills he acquired in this short span of time are unearthly. One might argue that babies are not meant to throw fists with such precision and technique.

Ahead of his highly anticipated fight against the arch-rival Caleb Plant which will settle an ongoing feud between the two on March 25 at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, the 26-year-old shared a video clip of his son on Instagram showcasing his boxing skills. The clip shows the baby laced with boxing gloves, unleashing the combinations on the heavy bag.

Interestingly, his punches are far better than one would expect from a baby of his age. When fans came across this, they poured their opinion in the comment section.
