Boxer Turned Actor Larry Olubamiwo Bags a Role in Marvel’s Venom Sequel Alongside Tom Hardy

Former British heavyweight boxer Larry Olubamiwo is no longer active on the sporting circuit. Instead, he has shifted attention towards cinema and has reportedly bagged a role in Marvel’s ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’.
Olubamiwo’s role in the movie is still unspecified, but considering the high-voltage action in the first movie, the Venom sequel can bring back the British heavyweight into some serious action.
As per reports, Olubamiwo has finished shooting for his part and the film will hit the theatres this year. His managers connected with World Boxing News and broke the news, sending several fans into a frenzy.

The original movie came out in 2018, putting an anti-hero’s biography on display. It was a massive success back then, and three years later, fans can expect the sequel to advance the tale. The UK will premier the Venom sequel around September. That said, boxing fans are thrilled to see their prodigy Larry Olubamiwo into a comical superhero movie.
Akin to the first movie, Tom Hardy will star as the key character of Eddie Brock in the sequel. Moreover, we can expect to see some more additions, including Larry Olubamiwo’s unknown role.

A look back at Larry Olubamiwo and his boxing career
Nicknamed ‘War Machine’, Olubamiwo could have had a majestic career in the vicious heavyweight roster. Boasting 11 wins alongside 19 losses, he had a short-lived career for seven years. In his last 19 fights, Olubaiwo lost 18 contests with the latest defeat coming from Tyson Fury’s cousin Hughie Fury.

The only title he ever won was the vacant BBB of C Southern Area heavyweight belt in 2010. Olubamiwo knocked out Colin Kenna in the fight to put his hands on a title. It was followed by two more KO wins ahead, before falling prey to the huge losing tide in his career.
