Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor are in talks for a two-fight deal worth $1.5 billion. The interesting fact is that their highly anticipated rematch would be followed by an MMA bout. The news of this big storyline, which would see the two most decorative athletes going head-to-head, has created a buzz in the combat sports world.

The former five-weight division champ hung up his gloves after stopping ‘The Notorious’ in the 10th round in 2017. The event turned out to be an enormous success and generated $500 million. Keeping this business in mind, Mayweather announced earlier this year that he was in talks for a rematch with the Irish.

Now, the SunSports reported a new update that claims the addition of another clause which would see ‘The Pretty Boy’ stepping inside the Octagon for the first time in his career. According to this report, the fights will take place in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia in the year 2023.

Confirmation is yet to be made, as both teams are still in talks.

When it was reported on Facebook, it caught the attention of fans. They came up straight, labeling the contest with several names.

How did fans react to Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor’s two-fight deal?

A fan wrote, “This is stupid it’s to completely different sports with one being restricted from using his particular skill base in the ring. It’s just hyped up money-making racket.”

Another fan wrote, “No way he’s stepping in the Octagon.”

“I won’t pay for it”, another fan added.

Another fan wrote, “Tbh I don’t know why people pay for pay per view unless it is going to be an interesting fight. You can always see the results for free after the match.”

Another fan wrote, “This is absolutely ridiculous, one retired the other over hype job. I don’t even know why people want to watch Connor.”

Another fan wrote, “I’ll fight for a billion. Heck I’ll take less.”
If this deal reaches fruition, then it would be the biggest fight deal in combat sports.
