Caleb Plant Issues a Scathing Response to Mike Tyson

Caleb Plant and Canelo Alvarez’s fight is all set to go on the floors on November 6. This is one highly important bout for the super-middleweight division and the sport in general as the winner of this clash will become the maiden undisputed 168-pound champ. That said, the hype behind this contest is insane and fans have fighter have picked their favorite accordingly.
Alvarez, the p4p star, is an obvious favorite and bigwigs like Mike Tyson are rooting for him. ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ also asserted Alvarez is too strong for Plant. However, the IBF super-middleweight champ didn’t like his comments at all. Hence, in his recent chat with FightHype, ‘Sweethands’ responded to Tyson.
He said, “Yeah, he was saying stuff like, he’s too strong for me and you know he’s a lot stronger than me, but everyone who really knows boxing and follows boxing knows that I’m not some one trick pony.”

“So he was stronger than Lennox Lewis, he was stronger than Evander Holyfield, but there’s a lot more to win a fight than just being stronger than somebody.”
Plant is extremely optimistic about winning his fight against Canelo. In his pre-fight press conference with the Mexican boxer, the American fighter rolled out some fiery words. Later, the duo even engaged in a brawl, where Alvarez seemed to have the upper hand.

Canelo Alvarez holds a 64.41% KO ratio, and he’s a true aggressor in every sense. Alvarez looks for that one opening that helps him launch a barrage of punches on his opponents. He targets the body and later attacks the head and chin.

Plant isn’t well equipped to face powerful fighters because, in his career, he hasn’t faced someone of Canelo’s caliber. Hence, Alvarez’s power could be a problem.
