“Calm Down”: Fans “Speak Up” After Chris Eubank Jr. Calls Out Canelo Alvarez

After avenging his loss to Liam Smith, Chris Eubank Jr. expressed his interest in fighting Canelo Alvarez next. In his opinion, Alvarez travels where the money is and there is “a huge market” in the UK. Likewise, the 33-year-old said, “I can’t think of any bigger money fights than me vs. Canelo.” According to Eubank Jr., people would like to see him fight Alvarez and “that’s the fight he [Canelo] needs to be in“.

There aren’t many other guys there that people would like to see fight more than me and Alvarez. He’s one of them guys, he really does make the rules,” Eubank Jr. told Sky Sports. Having expressed his interest in sharing the ring with the current undisputed super Middleweight champion, Eubank Jr. urged the “fans to speak up“. “Tell the fans, get the fans to speak up,” he added. In addition, he stated that he would not “freeze up” either against the Mexican boxer in the ring. Along these lines, he said, “I’m going to go in there and I’m gonna take it to him. That’s what people want to see.” “Whether he’ll accept a fight like that is to be seen,” he added during his Sky Sports exclusive.

According to one fan, Eubank Jr. vs. Alvarez, would “honestly” be a great fight.
