“Came From Nothing”: After Spending 44 Days in Baltimore Jail, Gervonta Davis Pens Heartfelt Message About His Struggles

Gervonta Davis had a year that was filled with ups and downs. In his highly anticipated match-up against another boxing sensation Ryan Garcia, Davis achieved a sound victory that solidified his position at the top of the lightweight division. His record of 29-0, out of which he won 27 through K.O. is a testament to the strength he holds. There were even talks of him potentially facing off against Devin Haney though the fight couldn’t materialize as ‘The Dream’ went up in weight to face Regis Prograis.

However, fate had something drastic in store for Davis as the boxer found himself in trouble with the law. He pleaded guilty to four counts of hit-and-run after being involved in a car crash. Moreover, he was even sentenced to house arrest for 90 days. However, after he violated the terms of his house arrest, he was sent to serve the rest of his sentence in prison. Davis vs Isaac Cruz potential rematch could headline on Amazon Prime
